Eat a healthy and light diet.

In summers, eat light and frequent meals that keep you going throughout the day. If you would eat high fat and high carbohydrate-containing meals in summers, so your body would feel more warm and dull. It would be hard for you to digest that kind of diet on a hot sunny day. Moreover, if you eat a large sum of food altogether, it will also give a raise to heat in your body. Therefore it is good that you eat light and frequent meals that are easily digestible as well as do not make your body radiate heat. Moreover, eat raw fruits and vegetables in summers. Since fruits are loaded with nutrition and some of them contain high water content, they are beneficial for your health, especially in summers.

Stay indoors

Try to avoid sun exposure directly on a hot sunny day. Direct sun exposure can cause heatstroke, dehydration, nausea, vomiting, and lightheadedness. Also, it would damage your skin, making it dull, dark, and broken.

Use sunscreens and sunglasses

Sunlight has ultraviolet rays that can damage your skin and eyes. Therefore you should wear sunscreen on your whole body before going out in summers especially. Furthermore, wear sunglasses that block ultraviolet rays up to 99% so that your eyes remain protected.

Drink lots and lots of water

During summers, on a hot, humid day, you sweat a lot that can leave you dehydrated. So it is important to drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water a day to keep yourself hydrated. While you sweat, you lose electrolytes, that can be lethal for your body. Furthermore, you can also drink an oral rehydration solution to prevent dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Moreover, coconut water is also a good source of electrolyte, drink it to keep yourself healthy and fresh during summers.

Avoid caffeinated beverages

During summers, try to avoid caffeinated beverages like tea, coffee, and soft drinks. Caffeine is a diuretic in nature. Therefore its excessive intake can leave you dehydrated. Try to restrict overall caffeine intake in the whole day, especially during summer to avoid dehydration that is bad for your health.

Wear loose and light clothing

In summers, try to wear loose fabrics, that are light in texture as well as in colour. Since dark colour absorbs sunlight, they make you feel warm, and light colours reflect sunlight, so they keep you cool. Moreover, a heavy fabric would make you feel hot and, a light one would keep you cool. Also, wear loose clothing because air can pass through it so that you feel less warm. While the air cannot pass through an article of tight clothing, therefore it makes you feel hot and irritated eventually.

Adopt a skincare routine

As we sweat a lot during summers, a lot of dirt and oil accumulate on our skin. To avoid that, you should keep washing your face often for at least two to three times daily. Also, wipe your face with tissue paper to prevent the outbreak of acne. Try using products that contain aloe vera gel or sandalwood powder to refresh and soothe your skin. Since skin diseases like prickly heat, acne, and rashes are common during summers, it is important to take care of your skin to avoid that.

Do not keep the food outside.

Food, when kept outside on a hot day for a long time, gets rotten and contaminated. While if you keep that in the refrigerator, it will not rot. Food contamination is common in summer that leads to diarrhea and food poisoning. Also, make sure that you eat from a hygienic place if you are eating it from a restaurant to avoid any adverse health condition.

During summer we sweat the whole day long. Therefore it can cause dehydration. Also, direct exposure to sunlight is bad for your health. Try to play indoor games to keep yourself active and protected from heat. Moreover, take a shower daily in summers because excessive sweating and humid weather can lead to fungal or bacterial diseases of the skin. Wear a hat or a turban to protect your head from direct sunlight exposure. Also, do not forget to wear sunscreen and sunglasses. Wear proper footwear that protects your feet well. Eat healthy fresh vegetables and fruits, because they provide you with adequate nutrition. Eat cucumber, watermelon, and lemon juice because they contain high water content and prevent dehydration.
